5 Simple Homemade Body Scrubs

Using a body scrub is very important to keeping your skin healthy and hydrated. Exfoliating your skin will gently slough away cellular buildup (dead skin cells) to allow new, fresh, rejuvenated skin to surface and glow. Instead of spending thousands of dollars over time purchasing already made body scrubs, why not make your own at home? They are all-natural, safe, and extremely effective – And of course easy on the wallet! Continue reading to try some of our favorite homemade body scrubs listed below!

Sea Salt & Olive Oil

Combine 1/3 cup of fine sea salt and 1 Tablespoon of olive oil. Mix together and use it 3 times a week minimum to refresh and renew your skin in the shower after cleansing. Keep the excess in a sealed jar to keep it preserved. The sea salt will gently get rid of dry skin while the olive oil will leave your skin feeling super soft and hydrated…without clogging your pores.

Organic Cane or Brown Sugar & Water

Simply mix about 1/3 cup of sugar with water while in the shower to gently remove dead skin and unclog pores. The sugar will naturally dissolve on your skin, leaving it super smooth and polished.

Organic Cane or Brown Sugar & Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Combine ½ cup of sugar with extra virgin olive oil to create a beautifully gentle yet powerful scrub that will literally leave your skin glowing and smelling oh so sweet! Feel free to add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil to the scrub for even more skin-boosting power.

(Organic) Raw Sugar, Shea Butter, and Lavender

Combine about 4 Tablespoons of raw sugar, 1 Tablespoon raw organic Shea Butter, and about 4 drops of lavender essential oil. If it is of a liquid consistency or a bit runny, add more sugar because it should be more like a paste. Use as a body scrub and you will be amazed by the results. Raw sugar will gently remove cellular buildup, Shea Butter will hydrate the skin while adding amazing benefits to the skin since it is antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral. Lavender essential oil will leave your skin soothed and soft, while leaving your state of mind in a very calm and relaxed place.

Raw Almonds & Raw Honey

Finely ground about ½ cup of raw almonds (you can do so in a coffee grinder) and mix the grounds with raw unfiltered honey. Use as a wonderful exfoliating treatment on your face and body after cleansing the skin then rinse off with warm water. Honey is antimicrobial and antibacterial so if you suffer from acne anywhere on your body, honey will work to fight acne and prevent future breakouts from occurring.

As you can see, the sky is the limit on what kind of body scrubs you can try on your skin. Get creative and see what awesome concoctions you can come up with as well! We know you will love the body scrubs listed above so don’t wait any longer…try one tonight! Happy exfoliating…gently of course!
