I don't know if it is humanly possible for anyone to HATE shaving more than I do. I mean, I really, really, really hate shaving.
I have sensitive skin that that will generate scars and dark spots at the mere suggestion of a hair bump. I started searching for a way to pamper my skin so I could stop wearing maxi dresses all summer (thats right, I literally bought my summer clothes according to the amount of body hair that would be exposed...sad right?). I was super excited when I found out that I could make my own shaving cream using Shea butter. I love the way my skin looks and feels after using it and I'm sure that you will too!
Using a double boiler, ( if you don't have a double boiler you can use a heat proof glass bowl over a pot of simmering hot water. Here is a video) add the shea butter and coconut oil and let them melt over the lowest heat setting, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat once completely melted.
Add the sweet almond oil and essential oils* and stir until completely blended.
Place the bowl in the fridge and allow to completely cool. Remove from fridge and, using a mixer, whip until the mixture is the consistency of frosting.
Let it sit for a few minutes before transferring to an airtight container. Store in a cool dark place and use for up to a month.
